The EL3602-0010 analog input terminal handles signals in the range between -75…+75 mV. The voltage is digitized to a resolution of 24 bits, and is transmitted, electrically isolated, to the higher-level automation device. The input channels of the EtherCAT Terminal have differential inputs and possess a common, internal ground potential. The signal state of the EtherCAT Terminal is indicated by light emitting diodes.

The analog EL3692 input terminal enables direct resistance measurement in nine measuringe ranges from 0…100 mΩ to 0…10 MΩ. The circuitry of the EtherCAT Terminal enables measurement in 2- and 4-wire versions. The EL3692 offers measuring range selection, either automatic or through the controller. Due to the galvanic isolation, a live power object can also be measured in single-channel operation. The EtherCAT Terminal indicates its state through LEDs. Malfunctions such as broken wires are indicated by error LEDs.

The EL3751-0004 analog input terminal is a variant of the EL3751 multi-functional terminal that has been reduced to resistance or temperature measurement (RTD). The EL3751-0004 measures to 5В kО© full scale value in 2-/3-/4-wire connection. RTD temperature sensors (Pt100/1000, NI, KTY etc.) can also be connected.

The EL3773 and EL3783 power monitoring terminals are designed for state monitoring of 3-phase AC voltage systems. For each phase voltages and currents are sampled as instantaneous values with a resolution of 16В bits:

The ELM3002-0235 EtherCAT Terminal of the basic series is designed for high-voltage measurement on batteries and generators and supports the measuring ranges В±60/360/600 and 1200В V. The measuring range is selected in the CoE, as are the other setting options such as the filter parameters. Irrespective of the signal configuration, all ELM modules have the same technological properties. The ELM3002-0235 with oversampling offers a maximum sampling rate of 50,000В samples per second. The terminal is equipped with 4В mm lab jacks.

The ELM310x EtherCAT Terminals are designed for flexible current measurement in the range from -20 to +20В mA. They offer selectable measuring ranges of -20/0/4 to В±20В mA as well as current measurement according to NAMUR NE43.

The 4- and 8-channel EtherCAT Terminals from the ELM334x economy series are designed for temperature measurement with thermocouples. All common thermocouple types are covered and, with a sampling rate of 1В ksps per channel, fast processes are also easy to record. The resolution is adjustable to 0.001В°C. The channel properties can be adjusted individually for each channel via CoE. An exceptionally high measuring accuracy is achieved through the precise measurement of the internal cold junction.

The ELM3542 and ELM3544 EtherCAT Terminals from the ELM3x4x economy series are designed for the evaluation of measuring bridges in full bridge, half bridge and quarter bridge configuration. With a maximum data rate of 1 ksps per channel they are ideally suited for the recording of less dynamic procedures, such as slow oscillations and corresponding weighing procedures. In return, they measure with extremely low noise and are temperature-stable up to an ambient temperature of 60°C. The integrated bridge supply can supply 1 to 12 V and, like all other parameters, is adjustable online in the CoE at runtime. In addition, the ELM3542 features a connection for one TEDS-IC in the sensor per channel – this way the SG can be electronically read, detected and also written immediately upon plugging in. Apart from that, the ELM354x have all the features familiar from the fast ELM350x basic series, such as internally switchable extension resistors and comprehensive sensor and function diagnostics for industrial 24/7 operation. The 6-pin connector (push-in) is removable for maintenance purposes without releasing the individual wires.

The EtherCAT Terminals from the ELM series were developed in order to enable the high-quality measurement of common electrical signals in the industrial environment. Flexibly usable measurement modules are especially useful in laboratory and testing technology environments. Therefore the ELM370x multi-function modules feature an input circuit that can be set to over 30В different types of electrical connection via EtherCAT: from voltages of В±60В V to В±20В mV, thus supporting thermocouples and IEPE, a current of В±20В mA, a resistance measurement of 5В kО© and thus also temperature RTDs (Pt100, etc.), measuring bridges and potentiometers, and all of this with a 2- to 6-wire connection, depending on the type. Thus, most electrical measuring tasks can be solved with just a single module. There is a choice of different connection types: The ELM3704-0001 with its high-quality LEMO connectors is mainly designed for laboratory use, where sensor configurations are changed on a daily basis, but a stable and reliable plug connection is nevertheless required. The 6-pin version with push-in (ELM3704-0000/ELM3702-0000) on the other hand is ideal for industrial use where a plug is unplugged less frequently for maintenance purposes and fast wiring is much more important.

The ELX3152-0090 analog input terminal allows the direct connection of intrinsically safe field devices located in hazardous areas classified zone 0/20 or 1/21. It supplies measuring transducers located in the field and transmits their analog measuring signals electrically isolated to the automation device. The measuring range can be switched between 0…20В mA and 4…20В mA by software. With a technical measuring range of В±107% of the nominal range, the terminal also supports commissioning with sensor values in the limit range and evaluation according to NAMUR NE43. The EM3712 analog input terminal measures the pressure value as a difference to the environment (relative pressure measurement), in the measuring range of В±1В bar. This means that negative pressure values are also permissible as a difference to the environment. The pressure value is directly available to the controller as a 16-bit value, and errors such as out-of-range values are also displayed. The compact design and simple connection system support space-saving and quick installation with no need for additional measuring devices.
