The PS9421-4840-0000 redundancy module is suitable for the setup of a redundant, fail-safe supply network. It is equipped with two inputs, to which twoВ 2 x 20В A power supplies with 24В VВ DC or 48В VВ DC can be connected. The output can continuously conduct rated currents of up to 40В A. The redundancy module uses MOSFETs to decouple the two inputs, this reduces heat generation and the voltage drop between input and output. The redundancy module requires no additional auxiliary voltage and is autonomous even in case of a short-circuit at the output. Due to the low losses, the module is very compact and requires an installation width of just 32В mm on the DIN rail.
