The EP3752-0000 EtherCAT Box has two internal 3-axis accelerometers with 10В bits and a selectable measuring range of В±2В g, В±4В g, В±8В g and В±16В g. The sampling frequency is 200В Hz to 5В kHz. Possible applications include the recording of vibrations and shocks/oscillations, and furthermore inclination measurements in all three axes. Since measurement is carried out with two sensors that are positioned at an angle of 90В° to each other, the control system can check measured data for plausibility. Extended integrated filter functions allow measured data to be pre-processed and appropriately scaled in order to filter disturbances and to relieve the workload of the control system.
