This is the highest magnification ocular available for the Gaertner modular measuring microscope line. Gaertner oculars are smaller in diameter than normal microscope eyepieces (49/64ths as opposed to 23.2mm). The part number is M239, and it has the following characteristics.

Edmund Optics 54-628 C-Mount Extension Tube

This is a specialized objective that is intended for the small Zeiss semiconductor comparison microscope. The objective thread is much smaller than the normal RMS thread (13.5mm diameter with a 0.35mm thread pitch). This objective also has an extension tube that is 34mm long. There are no optics in the extension tube.

This is a Leitz (Leica) motorized stage from an Ergoplan semiconductor inspection microscope. The stage has a travel of 8 by 8 inches. There are rotary encoders on each axis. The stage may be driven manually by unthreading the caps over each encoder housing thereby revealing a small knob (see last photo). Leitz part number for this stage is 572 072.

This condenser belongs to the series of interchangeable condenser upper elements used with the more recent 160mm tube length Leitz microscopes (such as the Aristoplan, Diaplan, Laborlux 12, etc). The thread size is larger than that of the earlier 600 system condensers so it is only suitable for the 160mm tube length system condenser bases. It was also used on the special condenser for the Metalloplan HL microscope because of its long working distance..
